The anterosuperior leaflet is often abnormal (redundancy, fenestrations, tethering with abnormal subvalvar apparatus). The atrioventricular junction and the ''atrialized'' portion of the right ventricle are dilated, with variable degrees of thinning of the right ventricular wall.
